This Saw shelled turtle ( Elseya Latisternum) was brought in to care
after it had been caught on a fishing line. Richard Creed from Lismore
Veterinary clinic operated on the turtle and removed a fishing hook
from it's throat. It was kept in care for some time, untill the carer
was sure it could feed itself with no problems, and the throat had
healed.
The turtle was then taken back to the Wilson River where it had come
from, and released. We have here the sequence of images as the turtle
went home.
